To help with the construction of 03111 using the High Level Kits chassis, the following detail photographs were taken of D2371, and further down the page of cut-down cab 03145. Here's D2371 repainted back into green livery in preservation. The train brake air receivers can be seen mounted vertically above the running plate.

Several views of the left hand side of the locomotive.

View showing the loco air receiver mounted under the running plate.

General loco views, note different chequer plate patterns on running board.

The re-located vacuum exhauster in cabinet (dual braked locos).

Several views of the right hand side of D2371.

A selection of views taken of preserved cut-down cab 03145.

Several views of the left hand side of the loco, showing details of steps, wheels and crank etc.

The cabs on the Landore allocated 03s were reduced in height by 4.5 inches, to allow clearance on the BPGV line. In this view of the loco, the join line can just be seen level with the bottom of the rear windows. The doors remained the same height, but were lowered into a cut-out in the cab floor.

Several views of the right hand side of the loco, showing details of steps, wheels and crank etc.

The 'life guard' was accidently bent outwards due to limited clearance when unloading from a low-loader. The BPGV line class 03 were fitted with sand pipes from class 08s, due to the standard type getting blocked when working through the frequent floods that plagued the line.

Several views taken inside the cab.

This loco was originally built with 4 marker lights at each end, but after a works visit ended up with only 2 at each end.
