A Shenston Road loco D8587, a Rolls Royce engined Clayton passing
through Hornsey Broadway with D8599. There were 2 Claytons fitted with Rolls Royce engines
(D8586/7) which were easily identified by their raised bonnets, with neither of the pair
making it into blue livery, although D8586 did receive full yellow
ends in green. This Heljan model of D8587 has been fitted with NIU Models resin bonnets.

Derby's Test Train passes by with Clayton 8598 in charge, which is a TechCad model finshed
by Greg for Shenston Road with some Bachmann coaches in tow.

the locomotive whilst in RTC service.

Clayton D8599 at Shenston Road. A detailed and weathered Heljan model.

Class 17 ‘D8610’ was a swop-body model, sharing a chassis with classmate D8599, but a chance
visit to the Cheltenham Model Centre found a pre-owned Heljan mech' for sale. This has been
re-gauged to EM using the original wheels, and allows both models to appear together on the
layout if needed.
