This temporary speed restriction sign has been made from plastic section. Illuminated
by propane light from an adjacent gas bottle, these signs were usually weighted down
with bits of concrete or fishplates.
 
The permanent-way stores area by the grounded van at Canada Street, with various track
maintenance items gently rusting away amongst the used sleepers.
 
The torn up track of the dock branch, with lifted sleepers and chairs just left in a heap.
 
Various parts of the layout have now started to have clutter added: – The S&W works yard……
but still no real clues as to what they actually do?!
 
One for grounded van fans…..the old LNER van by the engineman’s cabin used to store lamps.
