*****************************************************************************************************************************************************************

English Electric type 3 D6607 originally from the Shenston Road fleet, detailed and weathered
by Greg, this Lima model has been double motored and transfered to the Eastwell fleet.

March allocated 6728 (Bachmann) hauling heavy oil tanks from Ripple Lane on its way to The Midlands.

English Electric type 3 - 6731 heading south on the main line passing Shenston Road gas
works with a rake of bogie ballast hoppers.

Canada Road green D6739 based on the Bachmann model.

A general view of Canada Road's 37 046, also based on the Bachmann model. A Shawplan
fan grill has been fitted, the side frost screens use Scalelink hexagon mesh, and
wire has been used to represent the sand pipes onto the bogies. At the lower edge
of the body the cut-outs have been revised to match photographs from the 70s.

37 046 again, the main change on the nose ends has been to correct the proportions
of the headcode surrounds Although modified using plastic, a suitable brass etch
may be available. Grab handles and lamp brackets have also been added or replaced
using brass. The buffers have been lifted using a little plastic surgery.

English Electric type 3 number 6776 is a recent addition to the Shenston Road fleet (Bachmann).

Another Lima class 37, 6782 is also double motored by utilising twin Hornby Railroad mechanisms.

Class 37 37087 was originally a Shenston Road loco, which has since been transferred to the Eastwell
fleet and modified with twin Lima motor bogies, seen here with a rake of Cemflo wagons.

Stratford allocated 6831 at Hornsey Broadway with heavy oil tanks for Ripple Lane.

For the later period, 37137 is in triple grey livery at Shenston Road (ViTrains).

37153 at Shenston Road (ViTrains).

6886 at Aberath.

6889 at Aberath.

English Electric type 3 number 6890 is a Bachmann model from the Hornsey fleet. Although a
Canton allocated loco, it will retain its identity for use on inter-regional freights.

37215 at Oldshaw (Bachmann).

Finished to a typical work-stained 1974 appearance, 37 243 is planned to accompany Class
53 Falcon in a South Wales sequence on the layout. During the 1970s English Electric type
3s were the workhorses of the coal and steel traffic that was so widespread in the area at that time.

English Electric type 3 number D6947 was a dual braked Stratford locomotive from 1969, showing
signs of a previous life as a Western Region machine, notably the blue RA cabside dots and the
'bent at a right angle' lamp brackets.

A double motored Lima Class 37 from the Eastwell fleet D6963.

From the Shenston Road fleet is Bachmann 6970 at Hornsey Broadway.

From the Shenston Road fleet is Bachmann D6992 at Hornsey Broadway.

6999 a Canton allocated loco at Morfa Bank Sidings (Bachmann).

Obviously a popular choice of number, as another version of 6999 is seen at Aberath.

From the Shenston Road fleet, 6999 is heading towards Wolverhampton with a tank train.

6999 is seen again at Hornsey Broadway heading south with a rake of empty Carflats.
