Heljan Class 33 ‘D6505’. The SR were unusually slow to apply yellow panels to many of their
diesel fleet. Photographs suggest D6505 remained all green until the late summer of 1967 –
roughly the same time that D2294 would have been being turned out in blue.
Birmingham RCW type 3 number 6527 (later Class 33/1 - 33110), at
rest on Hornsey Road depot in the company of other Southern Region locos. Built in
October 1960, it was allocated to Eastleigh and regularly used on the Bournemouth to
Weymouth trains with TC sets, and will almost be exclusively be used to propell the
8-car Trailer Control set as a charter service on the layout. 6572 and E6107 are more
likely to be in the North London area after working inter-regional freight.

From the Eastwell TOPS fleet, 33022 (6540) is captured hauling a empty northbound cement train
formed of Cemflo wagons.

Canada Road's 33 028 (6546) complete except for some final light weathering. During the
mid-1970s the Southern Region always seemed to turn out their locomotives in good condition,
perhaps due to lower route miles run and their own dedicated locomotive works at Eastleigh.

BRCW 6566 & 6575 on the branch line at Hornsey Broadway.

BRCW type 3 D6566 & 6596 both from Greg Brookes Shenston Road fleet are seen heading north
through Hornsey Broadway with a train of Carflats.

Used for cross-London transfer freights, 6572 is seen at Hornsey Road depot.

33203 (6588) sets off from Oldshaw with a freight train bound for Bristol (Lima).

Class 33/2 6590 has been completed. The loco is lightly weathered as it might have appeared
after a works visit for alterations to the engine exhaust system that it made during 1968.

Shenston Road Slim Jims 6596 and ex-works 6591 are captured with an empty MGR return working.
