the Risborough & District MRC for Hornsey Broadway voted best layout in show.

Eileen's Emporium for the row of shops voted best model building / structure.
Photo by Anthony Mead. The Row of Shops are scratchbuilt from plastic
card and represent a style of prefabricated building that was commonplace post-war.
Originally designed for a limited lifespan as a quick and easy way to reinstate those
lost during bomb damage, many examples still remain in use today. At this location
there were originally 2 rows of shops, each consisting of 5 separate businesses with
just half of the development remaining. Beyond the corrugated fencing can be seen
the foundations of the second block, most probably dismantled during the 1960s. The
remaining businesses consist of a taxi office, 2 units occupied by a café, a newsagent,
and a florist. Each unit features interior detail and lighting.
